What a cutie pie. She is either praying or protecting her fingers. I find our DD will often curl her fingers into a fist, these many years later. Even though she never wakes up nights when we test, her subconscious is working through the night. This picture, to me, is a representation of the many finger sticks these children suffer without complaint. Conscious complaint, we rarely hear. But the body language is very telling.
